As you read above, I’m going to work on a new project. Originally, I wanted it to be a RPG Maker game until I realized the sprites that I’ve chosen aren’t going to be really suited for it. Not to mention, I can’t think of puzzles for shit besides fetch quests. Besides, this will work better as it is in this way.
It sucks, but that’s how it is. Anyway, the name of the project is “Gold Rush Delight”. Here’s a summary:
A new teacher is transferred to a prestigious high school where only the rich and famous can attend. During the course of the day, she realizes that one of her students has a lot of anxiety. After school, she tries to get him to talk but he’s too embarrassed by it. However, a little girl in a big white bow comes in and tells her she’s waiting for her big brother inside.
It’s only after she leaves the student confesses everything to the teacher; his grandmother had recently adopted the girl and he’s feels really uneasy about her desire to be close to their grandmother as possible. And he thinks she’s trying to kill him.
Before the teacher could comfort him, the two are stuck in the school during a power outage. As the two try to make it out of the building, there’s another type of darkness that haunts the school. And it’s not just the seven mysteries, either.
I’m debating on whether or not I want this to be a “choose your own adventure” visual novel type or just a kinetic novel. It’d be fun to do something like that (where I could get bad endings) but because of the sprites I have access to, I don’t know absolutely for sure.
Hopefully, sometime this week I’m going to post some basic profiles of the main characters as well as the sprites I’m going to use for them. And I’ll be trying to work on the script itself (though I’ll most likely just hand write it to prevent any other crashes stopping me from doing my game) so wish me luck~!
